Scott completed his undergraduate education at Virginia Tech, earning a B.S. in the Biological Systems Engineering (BSE) department in 2015. His research interests are system-based approaches to tissue engineering and biomaterials. His PhD research is on the assembly and investigation of an engineered 3D transitional liver model of fibrosis. This model will simulate various degrees of tissue transformation and will be used to study the cell-cell and cell-environment interplay and feedback experienced during fibrosis.
He is a native French speaker and enjoys cooking. He enjoys singing and playing trombone and guitar.
