Dr. Heath's research is primarily centered on problems that have a biological motivation. Within the context of CTE, these interests include construction and analysis of biological networks of different kinds, analysis of biological measurements, such as gene expression data from RNA-Seq, and computational genomics. His group works closely with biologists to acquire, analyze, and model their data, especially molecular and phenotypic data. A current project is the NSF-funded Beacon project to capture, represent, analyze, and simulate signal transduction pathways in plants.
